  • Day 1 - AIRPORT-COLOMBO

    One of our representative warmly welcome you and afterwards transfer to colombo

    Approx. 45 min. Drive to Colombo

    Proceed to have a short Colombo city tour

    You will drive through the commercial area of Fort, so named because both the Portuguese and Dutch had a fort at this point. Drive past Pettah, a noisy Oriental bazaar with a mix of humanity, ancient vehicles, bargains, mosques and temples. You will visit a Hindu and Buddhist Temple and the Jumi UI Alfar Jumma Mosque. You will continue with the tour through the Wolfendhal Dutch Church, Hulftsdorp Law Courts, through the residential area of Cinnamon Gardens, and on to the Independence Square, Bandaranayake Memorial International Conference Hall.

  • Day 2 - COLOMBO-PINNAWALA-DAMBULLA-HABARANA

    After havine breakfast leave to Dambulla via visiting Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

    Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage started in 1975 to house the abandoned and the wounded, the orphanage has grown to be a big family today. The number of elephants has increased to more than 40 now, including baby Elephants brought from various parts, as well as the babies born, as a result of the captive breeding program. A unique experience never to be missed.

    Afterwards transfer to Dambulla

    Approx. 2 hrs. Drive to Dambulla

    Dambulla 92 miles from Colombo. Dambulla is famous for the five cave Temples on a rock. The first 03 caves are better, older and larger than the other two. Some caves dates to 1st C.B.C. All the 5 cave walls and ceilings are covered with Buddhist murals and there are more than 130 Buddha statues, statues of Gods and Kings are also found here.

  • Day 3 - HABARANA-SIGIRIYA-POLONNARUWA-HABARANA

    After breakfast at hotel proceed to Sigiriya lion rock

    Approx. 30 Min. Drive to Sigiriya lion rock

    Sigiriya Rock Fortress is home to the 5th Century "Fortress in the Sky" which is perhaps the most fantastic single wonder of the Island. It is also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the fortress. Within its triple-moated defense the huge rock rises almost to a sheer height of 500ft. On its summit are the foundations of what was once a great and sumptuous palace and gardens complete with swimming pool. On one of the stairways the only known ancient work of Sinhala secular painting survived in the form of Frescoes of life sized damsels in all the freshness and delicacy of their original color. (Approx. 2 'A hrs. time to visit)

  • Day 4 - HABARANA-ANURADHAPURA-HABARANA

    After breakfast proceed to Anuradhapura

    Approx, 1hr Drive to Anuradhapura

    130 miles away in the central plains is Anuradhapura ,the 1st capital of Sri Lanka from 5th C.B.C to 10th C.A.D. The remains of 15 centuries as a capital is found in a vast area. From smaller monuments such as Thuparama and Lankarama to gigantic, 400 foot high Jetawana Dagaba, Abhayagiriya and Ruwanweliseya and the most sacred Bo-tree, (Ficus Religious) well-guarded up to this day, are found here.

    There are statues, remains of Palaces, Ponds, Temples, Shrines, and Alms Halls, Meditation Centres, Old statues, Monasteries, Pleasure gardens and large number of other monuments are found at Anuradhapura.

    you will see many spice gardens at Matale where Cinnamon, Cardamom, Pepper Creepers and all other spice trees, plants and creepers are planted for visitors to see them. Spice products are also available for those who would like to buy them. At all Spice Gardens visitors are taken round explaining each tree and plant and at the end explaining the use of them in food preparations.

    Kandy - the hill capital. Venue of the annual Perahera The last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815. Kandy is an example of the Buddhism's influence in Sri Lanka today. Temple's shrines and monasteries keeping alive Buddhist traditions are everywhere.

    Buduruwagala is located about 5 km from the Wellawaya on the Thanamalwila road. The name Buduruwagala means “the rock with the statue of Buddha” And this is exactly what it is. Seven figured are carved in this rock with a massive 51 foot Buddha statue in the Abhaya Mudra gesture at the centre.

  • Day 6 - KANDY-TEA PLANTATION-NUWARA ELIYA

    Tea was first planted in Sri Lanka in 1824 at the Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya, when a few plants were brought from China. More were introduced from Assam in 1839. In 1867 a scotish Planter named James Taylor planted tea seedlings on an 8 hectares of forest land, in the Loolcondura Estate. In 1873, the tea export industry of Sri Lanka began with a modest 23Ibs being shipped to London. Tea will grow well only on rolling terrain and is classified be elevation into low grown, medium grown, highgrown, into 3 main groups.

    Nuwara Eliya

    120 miles from Colombo 6200ft. above sea level. In 1826 some British Officers 1828 a road constructed over the ridge at Ramboda Pass and a station for convalescent Soldiers was established. It was Sir Samuel Baker who fell under the spell of Nuwara Eliya, brought hounds, horses, cattle, sheep etc . and started a typical English farm here. Flowers and vegetable were brought from England and panted.

  • Day 8 - YALA-GALLE- BEACH HOTEL

    Early morning proceed to Yala national park for a safari ride with breakfast packets

    185 miles from Colombo. Yala National Park is 378 sq. miles in extent. Yala was established in 1938 from, what originally was a Sportsman's shooting reserve. This is the most famous and well developed National Park where wild animals and birds could be observed. The Wild animals include Elephants in herds of varying sizes, Leopards, Wild Boar, Wild Buffalo, Crocodiles, and Peacocks, Jackal, Sloth Bear and other animals. The bird-life comprises of about 130 species including the resident and migrants. Painted storks, Paradise Flycatcher, Grey Herons, Serpent Eagle, Sea Eagle, Black-Necked Stork, Spoonbills, and Pelicans add colour to the bird-life in the park.

    72 miles from Colombo. This is the most ancient and important harbor of the country, until the Colombo Harbor was established. Galle is identified as the 'Tarshis 'of the Bible. This was captured by the Portuguese in 1587 A.D, Dutch in 1640 A.D, and British in 1796 A.D. Most of the existing buildings dates to Dutch Period. The Bastian's are still using Dutch names such as Zwart, Akesloot, Aeloes etc. Famous for lace making, Ebony carving, Gem cutting & polishing, out on shooting chanced on Nuwara Eliya plains, and Sir Edward Barnes investigated on it.
